Twilight Pasture

This painting was inspired by the area I live in. There are fields just like this one within minutes of my home in the lower hudson valley. This is a composite of several images i have painted in Plein air near my home. Twilight time is particularly impressive when there is snow on the ground. I have driven by and seen colors of the most beautiful pinks and oranges dancing on the snow that took my breath away. As an homage to those exquisite moments I have created this painting.
